LCDR Conover with his Payson Supply Line box!!

Butch and Lud,
Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers and special thanks for
all the goodies. You have made me very popular within the brigade. I
have some new best friends. There are enough books here to start a
small library. I am not in need of anything at this moment, especially
after your three wonderful boxes – don’t worry I shared
, but I have
some ideas of things that I have received or have that you could add to
your box of tricks for others: carabineers (small inexpensive ones from
places like Walmart), Febreeze, self-addressed postcards or envelopes
(it’s sometimes hard to get a hold of and would make it a very
convenient way to get back to you). So again, thank you so much! It
truly brightened my day or I should say week!
Mom and Pops,
You’re going to have to warn me next time you give my name out so I can
clear out room for all the boxes I’ll receive.
Too much fun.
Hopefully pictures attached will get through. I definitely had to try
on the doo rags and get a picture of me with the goods. It’s always fun
to try to get a picture of yourself though.
Thanks,
Sandy Sailor Mitch

They even had hand made beanies and a sign that was etched both made by people from payson. Anyways great packages, Thanks a lot Love you talk to you soon.”

Gentleman,
I received your packages on 20th of January. I want to take this time to thank you for the supplies. My Marines and I are members of 1st Light Armor Reconnaissance Battalion and are on an independent mission away from our Company. The supplies are welcomed comfort. These kinds of things are definitely hard to come by for my small detachment.
I have a seventeen man squad and we are charged with guarding an Army Military Transition Team (MITT) and a Police Transition Team (PITT) working with Iraqi Army and Police. We are the guys looking outward when they are looking in. We are at present in northern Iraq along the Syrian border. The weather here is cold, but we have a hard structure to live in that makes life as you may know; better. A dry Marine is a happy Marine.
I myself have three combat tours over in Iraq starting with the push up in “03”. I am always very grateful for the support of Americans. As fellow Marines you already know that America is well worth our sacrifices. I have attached a picture of my squad. Thank you once again

I apologize for not getting this out sooner. I received your two boxes before going on leave. Anyway, thanks Much!! I was amazed at how much of the stuff was usefull. Many times people send us stuff they have and aren’t using. Those boxes didn’t last long, I pulled the stuff useful to me, and then put in my sections break area, and it was gone by the end of the day.
Thanks Again!!
Your great Americans!!

Dear Payson Supply Line,
Thank you very much for the boxes you sent me. Everyone liked the hats and things. We took all that food on missions with us. I really appreciate it and I’m sorry it took so long to write a thank you. We have been on non-stop missions for the last few months.
Well thanks again for everything and I should be home by July 4th if everything goes well. If you still want to send stuff, that’s ok, but try not to send anything after the middle of April. Thanks again and I will never forget it.
Sincerely,
PFC Robert Allstatt

My battery has received your second shipment of supplies. Thank you so much for taking the time to send it out. I don’t know who advises you on what to send but you guys are right on the money. I distributed both boxes to my 3 platoons and there was nothing wasted. Everything you guys send is valued and used by the Marines. Once again let me pass along the thanks and gratitude of my Marines.
I hope to get a chance to thank you and meet you in person the next time I visit Payson.
May God Bless the Payson Supply Line and The United States of America .

Butch/Lud,
I just wanted to thank you for the boxes that you sent me during my recent deployment. I made sure that everything was distributed amongst the troops. It’s nice to know that there are American’s still aware that we are fighting a war. Again, thank you.

Yes I’m just dropping a line to say thank you. I am a soldier who received one of your packages and it was greatly appreciated among my fellow troopers. I feel its good to know that people still remember were here. As for my self I’m ending a 12 month deployment in may .its been a hard fight but we still have a long way to go on behalf of all soldiers home and abroad thanks.
